Running a marathon (or half marathon for that matter) is no easy feat. Can you imagine having to run for 42 kilometers (26.2 miles) or 21 kilometres (half marathon) in one go? Wow, right? Well, if you’re used to running then you know it is do-able, but if you’re fairly new to the running scene, it would be best if you gave yourself time to train and prepare for the big event.
It’s a known fact that having too much stress in your life can cause a whole lot of undesirable effects on your body. Too much stress can cause headaches, migraines, upset stomachs, nausea .. and who knows what other long-term effects this may have on the body.
Unfortunately, no one can totally eliminate stress from their lives. Even the pious buddhists monks somehow encounter stressful situations. The only defence we have against this is to learn how to deal with it. This can be done via mental and physical exercises such as doing yoga; going on holidays or short vacations; doing something new; going shopping; and (would you believe it) eating!
Yes! Eating can help you keep calm. However, this doesn’t mean you can go out and binge on burgers and pizza. The key to eating for calmness is to eat the right kinds of food items. Having a proper diet can greatly affect how a person thinks and feels. If you’re keen on lowering your stress levels, try to include more of the following food items in your day-to-day consumption.

Many people have all that they’ve ever dreamed of yet still feel empty and unhappy.
So – if it’s not all about material possessions, or achieving your goals and dreams – how do you exactly become happy? As previously mentioned, you have to look within. You would need to determine what you’ve been doing that is making you unhappy – and deal with those. Here are some tips so you can appreciate life for what it is and be on the road to true joy and happiness.

It’s a reality today that a lot of people use their computers on a daily basis. Whether working at home or in the office or running a business, many are in front of their PCs doing various tasks or playing video games for hours.
Medical experts have long pointed out that this habit is not healthy as it can lead to health problems and even serious diseases such as chronic insomnia, vision issues, game addiction and obesity. Sitting for long hours causes back and eye problems and does not contribute to a good metabolism which can cause a person to gain more weight through the years. The bright light from the computer can also affect the eyes and can cause headaches which can lead to difficulty in sleeping at night.
There’s still hope, though. Just make sure you don’t forget to take a quick break from what you’re doing with your computer and do a little exercise every now and then so you can save yourself and maintain a healthy lifestyle.
We share an infographic here that will give you tips on how to use your PCs the right way and save your health.
