Question:

Can the SPF in makeup substitute for sunblock?

Answer:

No. Even if your makeup has a high SPF, it’s highly unlikely that you’re putting on enough foundation to match the coverage that you would get from a real sunblock. Think of SPF-enriched makeup as extra protection, not as a substitute for sunblock.
